A simple thank you goes a long way

Romans 13:7, "Therefore give to all their dues; to the one due tax, the tax; tribute to whom tribute is due, fear to whom fear is due, and honor to whom honor is due."

The Bible clearly instructs us here to give honor to those who deserve to receive honor. It was because of this instruction that Carol Van Niekerk’s home cell in Brackendowns decided to honor the Policemen and Women who labour so tirelessly in our community keeping us safe and protected.

We often think that we need to give someone huge gifts in order to show our appreciation, however this visit to the Police station showed us that a simple thank you from a grateful heart is what is most times required. It is important that we make known our gratitude to those who place their lives on the line every day for us.

1 Thessalonians 5:18, "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

The key to success is to appreciate everything we have with a heart of gratitude. We all know how great it feels to receive a word of encouragement and especially when someone shares their gratitude with us. It is even a greater thing to share your appreciation to those that have impacted your life in some way today.

So to all the Policemen and women out there, we want to say a huge big thank you for what you do to keep our society safe, but especially to those of you who work in the Alberton Area, we are grateful to God for all that you do for us.
